Sneek Peeks

I am not much of a blogger. I'd rather just show some images that we've created.....I guess for the same reason as I don't journal and my kids' baby books have nothing but pictures in them. So, I thought I'd post a sneek peek of each session we do within a day or two....to make the two weeks before your proofs are ready go by a little quicker. Here are some peeks from our last week of sessions:

Sammy

Sammy's mom can't see my attachments, so she is going to view his collage recommendation choices here on the blog......Make it easier on her and vote for your fav!

Our Family

Everyone asks......."So you must just photograph your kids all the time, huh?" Um, no...not really. Unless you count the little diaper bag camera I carry around with me everywhere just like most moms. Ava is pretty much over the camera as soon as I point the thing at her, so I try not to torture her too much. But after a full 7 days of hosting my out of town brother and his family (yes 7 days....but I still love you guys!), we realized the time had come.....Sunday was picture day. All day. It was blood, sweat and tears for all of us...but so worth it!!

Rangers Family Day

We love our ball players!! Not only is it the hugest thrill for Matt to meet these superstars, but for me, these families are just pure joy to photograph...in the studio and on the field! This is the second time we were invited to photograph the kiddos at Family Day, and it was a blast. Thanks, guys, for a really fun day and letting us hang out with you and your precious families!

Our crew at the Ballpark

Ava and Cal had a blast at the ballpark with their cousins watching mommy and daddy photograph the players with their kids. Ava explained to everyone that her daddy was a Ranger and that's why we were on the field. Sorry baby, in dad's dreams!!

eiwwww!!!

My brother, sister in law, nephew and twin nieces are in town. Tonight we were eating dinner on the porch and I spotted something...so wrong...so disturbing....so yuck....right-on-my-house. OMG and Matt just wanted to HOLD it. Yes hold it. OK, it is father's day and he does love his outdoor domain, so I refrained from throwing a shoe at his new friend. He gave us an earful about how great it was that a tarantula wants to live here....because it MUST be due to his mastery of organic gardening. Anyway, after shaking off the heebie jeebies (and googling tarantula...I could tell you all about them now and how they are not a threat to people), I got out my macro lens and shot through the window as the kids ohh-ed and ahh-ed.

New Lens

I got a new lens this weekend, and it seems a little silly that I wait until I get new equipment to take pictures of my own 2 kids. People always assume I photograph my own kids all the time. But for me, I'd rather not have them be so sick of my camera that they run and hide when I pull it out. So, I do have the little point and shoot digital in the diaper bag like most moms, but I think I should start to pull out the big gun more often with them. Here's some snaps from our yard this Saturday.....
