Back at it....Sneek Peaks July 31

We're back! Here are a couple shots from a fun session yesterday...the brother just celebrated his first communion and the sister is getting all grown up...off to high school in just 3 weeks.


And here is one from today's 3 little beauties. I love shots like this....the very end of the session and surely the girls' mom thought we got nothing out of sitting the sisters by the window. They were well done by this point and the 3 of them were melting before our eyes. But I am not above bribery ....and a little talk about lollypops for sisters who hug onto their baby always does wonders!

Ahhh..vacation...

...in Indiana! Not exactly the dream locale for most, but we had a really nice time last week visiting my family in Indy. The weather was perfect and we did such fun stuff like splash at water parks and see cows at an organic dairy farm. It was much needed R & R and a great time with family and old friends!

Meet Jumpy

We have a new friend in our family.....a stray Siberian Husky jumped our fence on Tuesday and has made our back yard her new home. Ava named her Jumpy. We are still trying to decide if this is a permanent arrangement, or (our better judgment should tell us) a temporary one. She is a really sweet girl, and as you can see just a gorgeous dog! We took her to the vet Thursday and got her all cleaned up (it took 3 baths!) and checked out. She is about one year old and is quite healthy. The vet thought she had been out wandering for quite some time and no owners in the Richardson/ Garland area are looking for her. So, as much as we might hate to say it....families with lots of room in the backyard and a serious commitment to exercising an active breed can contact us if interested. (Sniff sniff)

Yea! It finally stopped raining and we got to go enjoy the park on Monday, and were back in the studio on Tuesday.

Hawaii Anyone?

Jen, our amazing production assistant-nanny-everything girl of 4 years is getting married! In Hawaii! Yea! And guess who volunteered to photograph the whole thing....it's a tough job but someone will have to do it.



So, we'll be in Maui from October 1-8. If anyone wants to coordinate a family vacation with portraits on the beach, we are totally up for it! Contact Matt for more details.

Rain Rain go Away! We had lots of appointments scheduled in the park this week, but the weather didn't exactly cooperate! But we did get to see a couple of big sisters with their adorable newborn siblings:

Little J. invited us to his house today.....as much as we LOVE to photograph kiddos at their home, our schedule in the studio and park doesn't allow us to do it as often as we'd like. We had such a great time with J. and his awesome parents, thanks guys for opening your beautiful home to us! If you'd like a photo session in your own home, let us know!
